Sy Wins Big at Black Music Awards!

Sy was surprised to learn that she’d been nominated for 3 Los Angeles Black Music & Film Awards this year (aka as BMAs). When she was asked to perform at the gala ceremony (held at the Globe Theater in downtown Los Angeles on September 29, 2019), Sy happily said yes. But she had no idea she’d be taking home two of the coveted awards that night. She won “Best NeoSoul Artist” and “Best Original Song” (for her critically-acclaimed “Sometimes A Rose Will Grow In Concrete”, the title track of her latest album).
